Is Longbow legit? An honest answer from the people who built it
We wrote this page, so read it accordingly. We are not going to pretend to be a neutral reviewer of our own product. What we can do is tell you exactly what Longbow is, what it costs, and what it does not do well, in enough detail that you can decide for yourself.
Yes, it is a real company
Longbow is built by The Interview Guys, a career advice company operating since 2013 whose work has reached over 100 million job seekers and is cited by career centers at Michigan, Georgetown and Penn State among others. Mike Simpson and Jeff Gillis founded it and still run it. Full details and contact information are on our about page.
What you actually get
Paste a job posting and Longbow builds a prep brief for that specific job: company research, a match analysis against your resume, ten interview questions you are likely to be asked, and coached answers built from your real experience. On a free account the research, the match analysis and all ten questions are yours, along with the first three coached answers in full. Pro unlocks the remaining answers, the questions to ask them, a downloadable brief, and tailored resumes, cover letters, mock interviews with voice, salary negotiation prep and follow-up emails.
The mechanics behind all of that — the answer frameworks, the scoring, the ghost-job checks — are written up in detail on how Longbow actually works.

What it costs, plainly
$17 for a week, $37 for a month, or $97 for a quarter. There is no annual plan, because we do not think you should still be paying us in a year. Cancel in two clicks, from inside your account, without emailing anyone. Thirty day money-back guarantee. Payments run through Stripe, so your card details never touch our servers.
What Longbow is not good at
Every honest review has this section, so here is ours.
It is not a magic apply button. Longbow will not fire your resume at 200 jobs. That is deliberate, and if that is what you want, we are the wrong tool.
It is only as good as what you give it. Paste a vague three-line posting and you get vaguer output. Upload no resume and the coaching cannot use your real experience. The people who get least from Longbow are the ones who give it least to work with.
Robin will not write your answers for you. She coaches you to build them. Some people want a script to memorize. That is not what this is, on purpose, because memorized answers sound memorized.
We are newer than our parent brand. The Interview Guys has been around since 2013. Longbow itself is young, which means fewer reviews than tools that have been selling subscriptions for five years. We would rather you know that than wonder why.
We are building that track record
Longbow is new, so there is no Trustpilot page, no G2 profile and no body of third-party reviews to send you to. The Interview Guys has been publishing career advice since 2013, but that decade belongs to the parent brand, not to this product.
When independent reviews do exist they will sit on the review sites and the Chrome Web Store listing, where we do not control them. Until then, everything on this page is checkable without taking our word for it: the company is named and addressed on our about page, the method is written up in full, the pricing is public, and the free tier does not ask for a card.
Questions people actually ask
Is my resume used to train AI models?
No. We do not train models on your resume or anything else you put into Longbow. Your career history is used to coach you, and that is all.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. Download your account data as a JSON file any time from your account page. It covers your profile, jobs, coaching and generated documents; it does not bundle the original resume file you uploaded.
Can I delete everything?
Yes. Self-serve deletion from your account page, with a seven day grace period in case you change your mind, after which an automated job removes your data and your uploaded files. A small amount of usage logging is kept with your identity stripped out.
Do you sell my data?
No.
Is there a free version?
Yes, and it is not a trial that expires. Free accounts keep unlimited prep briefs, three coached answers per job, and ten messages a day with Robin.
