Terms of Service

1. The Service

Longbow is an AI-powered career coaching platform that provides interview preparation, resume tailoring, career coaching, job market intelligence, and related career services. The Service includes an AI career agent (“Robin”) that provides personalized guidance through text and voice interactions.

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate, current information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

3. Subscription Plans and Payment

3.1 Free and Pro Tiers

The Service offers a free tier with limited features and Pro subscription plans with full access. Current Pro pricing and plan details are displayed on the pricing page at longbow.careers. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ notice to existing subscribers.

3.2 Billing

Pro subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis (weekly, monthly, or quarterly depending on the plan selected). By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the payment method on file at the applicable rate.

3.3 Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on your first subscription payment. Refund requests after 30 days are handled at our discretion.

4. Your Content

4.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you provide to the Service, including resumes, career information, job postings you paste, and information you share with Robin. We do not claim ownership of your content.

4.2 License to Longbow

By using the Service, you grant Interview Guys Media Ltd. a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, process, store, and display your content for the following purposes:

(a) Service delivery. To provide the Service to you, including generating prep materials, coaching responses, and career analysis. This license is necessary for the Service to function.

(b) Service improvement.To analyze usage patterns and improve the platform experience. This includes using your content to improve AI model prompts, test features, and fix issues — but never to train third-party AI models.

(c) Aggregated career intelligence.Subject to your consent preferences (manageable in Settings > Data & Privacy), to create anonymized, aggregated intelligence products derived from your content. This includes company interview intelligence, strategy effectiveness analysis, job market demand intelligence, career trajectory analysis, and published career intelligence reports.

This aggregated intelligence license is critical to the value of the Service.By pooling anonymized data from many users, Longbow builds career intelligence that no individual user could obtain alone — such as which interview strategies work best at specific companies, or what salary ranges companies actually offer for specific roles. This intelligence benefits you and all users.

The aggregated intelligence license survives account deletion because aggregated, anonymized data contains no individually identifiable information and cannot be disaggregated to reconstruct individual user contributions. Revoking your consent in Settings stops future contributions but does not affect previously computed aggregations.

(d) This license does not include: selling your individual, identifiable personal data to third parties; using your resume, career profile, or Robin conversations for advertising purposes; sharing your individual data with employers, recruiters, or hiring platforms without your explicit consent.

4.3 Job Postings

Job descriptions you paste into the Service may be subject to the original poster’s terms of use. You represent that you have the right to use such content for personal career preparation purposes.

5. AI-Generated Content

5.1 Nature of AI Content

Materials generated by the Service — including interview questions, coached answers, tailored resumes, cover letters, company research, salary intelligence, and coaching advice — are produced by artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy and quality, AI-generated content:

• May contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information.
• Should be reviewed and edited by you before use in any professional context.
• Does not constitute professional career counseling, legal advice, financial advice, or employment advice.
• Is provided “as is” without warranty of fitness for any particular purpose.

5.2 Ownership of AI-Generated Content

AI-generated content produced for you through the Service is yours to use as you see fit. You may use it in job applications, interviews, and professional contexts without attribution to Longbow.

5.3 Robin Coaching

Robin is an AI career agent, not a human career coach. Robin’s advice is generated by AI models and should be considered as informational guidance, not professional counsel. Robin does not have professional certifications, licenses, or the ability to verify all factual claims. Important career, legal, financial, or health decisions should involve consultation with qualified human professionals.

6. Data Intelligence and Anonymization

6.1 How Anonymization Works

When your data contributes to aggregated intelligence, it is anonymized through a process that removes all personally identifiable information. Your name, email, account ID, and any unique identifiers are stripped. Data is only aggregated when minimum thresholds are met (5+ unique users for general company intelligence, 10+ unique data points for salary information). The resulting intelligence cannot be traced back to any individual user.

6.2 Consent-Based Participation

Your participation in aggregated intelligence is consent-based. When you create an account, you are asked to review four categories of data use:

• Analytics: Usage patterns to improve the platform.
• Aggregated career intelligence: Cross-user patterns used to improve coaching and prep quality for all users.
• Anonymized industry reports: Aggregated data used in published career intelligence reports.
• Published research: Anonymized data used in research publications about career and labor market trends.

You may grant or revoke consent for each category independently at any time in Settings > Data & Privacy.

6.3 Salary Data

Salary information is treated with additional sensitivity. We apply a higher anonymization threshold (10+ unique data points) before any salary aggregation is computed or shared. Salary data is never displayed in a way that could identify an individual’s compensation.

7. Referral Program

Pro subscribers may participate in the Longbow referral program, earning commission on payments from users they refer. Referral program terms, commission rates, and payout mechanics are described on the referral dashboard. We reserve the right to modify the referral program terms with 30 days’ notice. Self-referrals and fraudulent referral activity are prohibited and may result in account termination.

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to misrepresent your qualifications, fabricate experience, or commit fraud in any job application or hiring process.
• Use the Service for automated mass applications (auto-apply).
• Attempt to extract or scrape bulk data from the Service.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to access the source code of the Service.
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law.
• Share your account credentials with others or allow others to use your account.
• Interfere with the security, integrity, or performance of the Service.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Our Property

The Service, including its design, code, AI models and prompts, career intelligence methodology, company intelligence data, strategy effectiveness analysis, and the Longbow and Robin brands, is the intellectual property of Interview Guys Media Ltd. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights to our intellectual property except the limited license to use the Service.

9.2 Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use that feedback for any purpose without obligation to you.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We are not liable for any employment decisions, career outcomes, salary negotiations, or professional consequences resulting from your use of the Service or reliance on AI-generated content.
• Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Interview Guys Media Ltd., its officers, directors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party’s rights.

12. Termination

12.1 By You

You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

12.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we discontinue the Service. We will provide reasonable notice where practicable.

13. Dispute Resolution

13.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13.2 Dispute Process

Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at legal@longbow.careers and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the platform at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Miscellaneous

• Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Interview Guys Media Ltd. regarding the Service.
• Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
• No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver.
• Assignment. We may assign these Terms in connection with a business transfer. You may not assign your rights under these Terms.
