Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Interview Guys Media Ltd., operating the Longbow career platform at longbow.careers (“Service”), collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Interview Guys Media Ltd. is a Canadian corporation. If you are located in the European Union, United Kingdom, or a jurisdiction with equivalent data protection laws, additional rights apply to you as described in Section 10 below.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account information: Name, email address, and authentication credentials when you create an account (including via Google OAuth or Apple Sign-In).
- Career profile: Resume content, work history, skills, education, certifications, target roles, and career preferences that you upload or enter.
- Job postings: Job descriptions, URLs, and posting content that you paste into the platform for analysis.
- Conversations with Robin: Text and voice interactions with Robin, our AI career agent. Robin is designed to provide personalized career coaching, and conversations may include career goals, salary expectations, interview experiences, emotional state, and other information you choose to share. See Section 3.2 for how Robin conversation data is used.
- Outcome reports: Interview results, job offers, rejections, salary information, and other career outcomes that you report through Robin, email responses, or the platform interface.
- Payment information: Billing details processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers directly.
- Settings and preferences: Communication preferences, consent choices, and notification settings.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data: Pages viewed, features used, time spent on content, buttons clicked, content expanded or copied, practice sessions completed, and materials downloaded.
- Device and browser information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, and screen resolution.
- Referral data: How you arrived at the platform, including referring URLs, UTM parameters, and affiliate tracking codes.
- Cookies and similar technologies: We use essential cookies for authentication and session management, and analytics cookies to understand platform usage. See our Cookie Policy for details.
1.3 Information Derived Through AI Processing
- Structured job market data: When you paste a job posting, our AI extracts structured information including company name, role, seniority level, skills demanded, salary range, location, remote work policy, industry, and technology stack. This structured data is stored separately from the raw posting.
- Career model: Over time, Robin synthesizes observations from your conversations into a structured understanding of your career patterns, strengths, areas for development, motivations, and coaching history. This career model helps Robin provide increasingly personalized guidance.
- Fit scores and readiness assessments: AI-computed scores evaluating your match with specific roles and overall job search readiness.
- Strategy classification: When the platform generates prep materials, the approach used (e.g., answer structure, framing strategy) is tagged for later analysis.
2. How We Use Your Information
2.1 To Provide the Service
- Generate personalized career prep materials, coached answers, resume tailoring, and interview practice.
- Power Robin’s AI coaching, including maintaining conversation context and your career model across sessions.
- Match you with relevant job opportunities.
- Process payments and manage your subscription.
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, outcome follow-ups).
2.2 To Improve the Service
- Analyze how features are used to improve the platform experience.
- Monitor platform health, performance, and error rates.
- Conduct A/B testing to optimize the product (via our experiment infrastructure).
2.3 To Build Career Intelligence (Aggregated and Anonymized)
This is important: Longbow uses anonymized, aggregated data from across our user base to build career intelligence that benefits all users. Specifically:
- Company interview intelligence: We aggregate anonymized data from multiple users who have interviewed at the same company to identify patterns in interview processes, question types, timeline expectations, and salary ranges. Individual user data is never exposed. A minimum of 5 unique users must contribute data about a company before any aggregated intelligence is surfaced.
- Strategy effectiveness analysis:We analyze which preparation approaches correlate with positive interview outcomes across our user base. This allows us to recommend more effective strategies to future users. No individual user’s outcomes are identifiable in this analysis.
- Job market demand intelligence: Structured data from job postings is aggregated to identify hiring trends, in-demand skills, salary ranges by role and geography, and market conditions. This data is used to provide better career guidance and may be published in anonymized, aggregated form.
- Career trajectory patterns: Over time, anonymized career transition data helps us understand career paths and provide better guidance on career moves, salary expectations, and skill development.
You control this.When you join Longbow, we ask you to review and consent to specific categories of anonymized data use (analytics, aggregated career intelligence, anonymized industry reports, and published research). You can manage these preferences at any time in Settings > Data & Privacy. Revoking consent stops your data from being included in future aggregations, though previously computed aggregations that already incorporated your anonymized contributions are not retroactively altered (as they contain no individually identifiable information).
3. Robin: AI Career Agent Data Practices
3.1 What Robin Knows
Robin maintains context across your conversations to provide personalized coaching. This includes your career profile, application history, practice session results, outcome reports, and a synthesized career model that captures patterns Robin has observed over time (such as areas where you tend to undersell yourself, or topics that cause anxiety).
3.2 How Robin Collects Data
Robin may proactively ask about interview outcomes, career developments, or job search progress. This is designed to help you — reporting an outcome to Robin unlocks relevant coaching (negotiation help after an offer, debrief coaching after a rejection, follow-up drafting while waiting). Robin’s questions also contribute to the career intelligence that benefits all users (see Section 2.3).
Robin does not collect data silently. All data Robin captures comes from your direct conversations or actions on the platform.
3.3 Robin’s Voice Conversations
When you use Robin’s voice feature, audio is transmitted to Google’s Gemini API for processing. Audio is processed in real-time and is not permanently stored by Longbow. Google’s data handling is governed by Google’s terms of service. Transcripts of voice conversations are stored on Longbow for conversation continuity.
5. Data Retention
- Active account data: Retained for as long as your account is active.
- Career model and conversation history: Retained for as long as your account is active. Deleted or anonymized upon account deletion (see Section 7).
- Aggregated intelligence contributions: Anonymized contributions to company intelligence, strategy effectiveness, and market intelligence are retained indefinitely because they contain no individually identifiable information.
- Payment records: Retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance.
- Consent records: Retained for 7 years after the consent is granted or revoked, for audit and legal compliance purposes.
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), row-level security on our database, service-role separation for sensitive data operations, and access controls on administrative functions. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Account Deletion and Your Data
You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us at support@longbow.careers. Upon deletion:
- Your career profile, career model, conversation history, application data, outcome reports, and content interaction records are permanently deleted.
- Your contributions to aggregated, anonymized intelligence (company patterns, strategy effectiveness statistics) are not removed because they contain no individually identifiable information and cannot be traced back to you.
- Your consent records are retained in anonymized form for our legal audit trail.
- Payment records are retained as required by law.
We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
8. Your Rights (All Users)
Regardless of your location, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data (see Section 7).
- Consent management:Grant or revoke specific data consent categories at any time in Settings > Data & Privacy.
- Data export: Request a portable copy of your data in a structured format.
9. Your Rights (California Residents — CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act:
- The right to know what personal information is collected, used, and shared.
- The right to delete personal information.
- The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.

10. Your Rights (EU/UK Residents — GDPR)
If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation provides you with additional rights:
- Legal basis for processing: We process your data based on: (a) your consent (for aggregated intelligence, research, and B2B data products), (b) contractual necessity (to provide the Service), and (c) legitimate interest (to improve the Service and maintain security).
- Right to withdraw consent:You may withdraw consent for any specific data use category at any time in Settings > Data & Privacy. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
- Right to data portability: You may request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to restrict processing: You may request that we limit how your data is processed.
- Right to object: You may object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Right to lodge a complaint: You may file a complaint with your local data protection authority.
International transfers: Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the EU/UK (including Canada and the United States) where our service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

11. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 16, we will delete it promptly.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the platform. If changes affect how your data is used for aggregated intelligence (Section 2.3), we will request updated consent where required.
The “Last Updated” date at the top indicates when this policy was last revised.
